Marissa Mayer

Marissa was born and raised in Santa Clarita, CA and started her dance training at the Performing Arts Center in Van Nuys. There she studied ballet (Balanchine), jazz and tap with some of LA’s most reputable teachers. She soon spent summers at Ballet Chicago and San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, and went on to the LA County High School for the Arts where she studied dance and musical theatre. She received her B.A. in Theatre Arts and a minor in Jazz Dance at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. Since then she has performed in many regional theatre productions at the Rubicon, Musical Theatre West, Sierra Repertory Theatre, Sierra Madre Playhouse, and many new musicals. Marissa’s choreographic work includes co-creating an educational touring show called Tale of Tap for Musical Theatre West, and she was the associate to Broadway’s Alexis Carra in Musical Theatre West’s production of 9 to 5.
