Nadine Aguirre was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA where she began her dance journey in Everybody Dance LA at the age of 4. She started in Ballet and later on explored other dance styles such as Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Jazz. Training as a member of Versa-Style Next Generation from 2018-2019, she learned the fundamentals of dance styles such as House, Hip Hop, and Locking. She also trained in Chloe Maud’s Sole Talk Youth program from 2016-2017 where she received intensive Tap training that helped develop her skills. Nadine’s passion for Tap dance developed while learning from her mentors Steve Zee and Melinda Sullivan. She graduated from Cal State University, Northridge with a B.A in Criminology and Justice Studies. While at CSUN she worked with CSUN’S Dance Program Director Dr. Paula Thomson where she gained choreography skills and a deep understanding of all forms of dance. During Nadine’s last year in college, she was selected to choreograph 2 dance pieces for the department’s annual Spring Dance Concert, Kinesis: Emerging Choreography in 2023. Through this opportunity, she learned she loved being a leader Tyand felt inspired to start teaching. Nadine hopes to continue passing on the knowledge and confidence to the younger generation that her teachers and mentors passed onto her.
