Avery Emmert

Teaching Artist

Avery Emmert was born and raised in Dallas, Texas where she trained at Next Step Dance Performing Arts Center and Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. From there, she moved to Southern California where she obtained a BFA in Dance Performance and a minor in Psychology from Chapman University. Throughout her years of dance training she’s performed works by Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Battleworks, Joffrey Ballet, NobleMotion Dance, and Dark Circles Contemporary Dance. In Spring of 2018, she choreographed a piece that was selected to perform on Cirque Du Soleil’s Zumanity stage in Las Vegas. Versed in both concert and commercial dance, she is passionate about teaching choreography and technique to all ages in hopes of inspiring new generations.
