Caribay Franke

Teaching Artist

Born in Caracas, Venezuela and raised right here in Los Angeles, Caribay has always had a passion for the performing arts. Her interest in the stage began as a child, dancing at the Pasadena Civic Ballet Center. She then studied acting at the British American Drama Academy and ultimately received her BA from the University of Southern California with degrees in Theatre and Film. Her career led her to choreograph for films, music videos, and operas—with a particular emphasis on movement-based theatre. She currently dances with the Diavolo Institute, under the direction of the fabulous Jacques Heim.
