mentor match program
Middle and high school aged students interested in being matched with a mentor are matched in October and meet monthly via Zoom and in person to discuss goal setting, and post high school goals while learning about their Mentors profession.
student leadership team
Middle and high school aged students interested in leadership skills and preparation for the college experience meet monthly to discuss with staff and experience guest speakers.
student teacher education program
STEP places interested middle and high school aged students in the dance classroom as Teaching Assistants. Students learn job skills, accountability and problem solving skills supporting Teaching Artists with students ages 4-10 years old.
student office internship
Middle and High School aged students interested in learning office skills and how to run a non-profit organization work 2-4 hours with the Program and Administrative team. Students support in the Dance Site Offices, with costume production, the student assessment process, data entry, and with fundraising.
ballet conservatory 1, 2 and 3
Students interested in Ballet audition for class placement. Students study Ballet 3 times a week and progress to pointe and variation work. Conservatory students represent the organization at community events and performances. Conservatory 1 students are 8-11 yrs old, Conservatory 2 students are 11- up and begin studying pointe, Conservatory 3 students are 12 and up. Students are placed based on skill level.
performance companies 1 and 2
Students interested in Hip Hop and Jazz audition for placement and rehearse an additional 1.5-2 hours a week. Company students represent the organization at community events and performance. Company 1 is for students 8-12 years old Company is for students 12 and up.
