
Gisele Silva
Teaching Artist
Gisele Silva is a professional dancer, performer, teacher and choreographer. This Brazilian native has become one of the new references in the Art Form of Tap Dance. Gisele is a member of Syncopated Ladies which is directed by the Emmy Award nominee Chloe Arnold, performed at full concerts in Los Angeles, NY, DC. She appeared at the Essence Fest in New Orleans, BET Experience, Halftime show NBA (Kings x Lakers) Celebration Black History Month, RuPaul Talk Show, Woman in the World at Lincoln Center – NY, TEDx Talk Palo Alto, Apollo Theatre, We Rise LA, Sync Ladies Bootcamp. As a member of the Tap Company Music From The Sole, Gisele recently was part of the creative residency commissioned by Guggenheim “Work and Process” performing at Kaatsbaan Summer Festival. Gisele is a ballet graduate and permanently registered as a dance professional by the Brazilian workers’ union, the Dance Professionals Union of the State of Sao Paulo. In addition to her international travels to perform, teach and television appearances, Gisele is the ambassador for So Danca, a well-known dance article brand worldwide. Worked at Disneyland Latin Parade “Viva Navidad”, she performed at the Rhythm Motion show in New York, organized by the American Tap Dance Foundation performing at The Duke on Broadway, Schoolboy Q and Travis Scott’s music video Chopstix, DanceOn Youtube on The Jones Project, Brazilian Carnival and one of the largest music festival, Rock in Rio. As a regular teacher, Gisele works at Debbie Allen Dance Academy, and in an after school program (Tap Into Life) for Chloe&Maud Foundation.
