Iantha Richardson
Teaching Artist
Iantha Richardson is a native if Prince Georges County, Maryland. She has been teaching for a total of 7 years, starting her career in New York City when graduating from Fordham University/ The Ailey School with her B.F.A in Dance and African American Studies. While getting her BFA she began simultaneously teaching at The Ailey Schools youth division as well as Harlem School for the Arts and other leading urban development arts programs around the city. Iantha is an American Ballet Certified Ballet instructor and has trained in numerous codified Modern techniques under some of the most profound teachers of our time while studying in New York City. As a professional dancer she has danced with companies such as Lula Washington Dance Theatre, and The Ailey Company in their piece ‘Memoria’ during their City Center Season. Iantha has also danced with music artists such as Common and Fergie, in her ‘M.I.L.F. Money’ Music Video and has been seen in numerous commercials. She loves teaching because she feels like it is apart of her purpose in life to encourage and inspire younger generations to be their absolute best and to know anything is possible through accessible art education!
