The Celebration is the annual event where we showcase our youths’ talent and hard work, honor those who support our mission, and raise the necessary financial support needed to keep our kids dancing!
EDLA!’s annual budget is $1.4M and support comes from contracts to provide dance education at schools, grants from foundations and local and national cultural arts programs, and from individual and corporate support through our dancePARTNER Program. EDLA!’s dancePARTNER Program bridges the gap between what our parents can afford to pay and the financial support we need to impact the lives of 4,900 youth annually.
- EDLA! parents pay $10 a month per child in our afterschool program; $100 for the academic year (We have The Gabriella Scholarship Fund which supports who are unable to fulfill this commitment)
- The average cost to parents per dance class at EDLA! $1.25
- The average cost of 1 for-profit dance class in Los Angeles, $15-20
- True cost to EDLA! per child each year, $1,500
Every sponsor of The Celebration will make a positive impact on a child’s life by becoming a dancePARTNER and providing a full year of dance education. Your support will ensure youth who live in communities with little green space to play, have access to fun physical activities in a safe and inspiring environment.
